Voila!

Well everyone, the deed is finally done.
Lisa and I are incredibly pleased to announce the birth of our son, Wyatt M Thornton.
8/15/07 at 8:15 a.m. Vigorous and healthy baby boy - 6 pounds 7 ounces, 19.5 inches..

Did I mention that is quite loud? He began feeding shortly after birth. While I enjoyed giving him his first bath, he did not. All systems are good and I'm proud to say I've conducted my first diaper change.

The procedure was interesting to watch. I took a lot of pictures, but when my son emerged I became transfixed. Fortunately the anesthesiologist is a friend of Lisa's. He said "dude, you're in shock and you're going to miss all the best pictures. At that point, he commandeered the camera and took many great shots. I believe I have attached the most illustrative and least gory to the blog today.
