Hogle Zoo - Fall 2009

Wyatt with his cousins Jake and Josie Thornton.

Enjoying a caterpillar ride at Hogle Zoo. Almost his favorite bug....after ladybugs!

Mom and Wyatt on the "merry-go-round". A self-portrait......

Wyatt loves this dune cat at the zoo. It is cute....but not as cute as our cute son!!

Our son having fun at the zoo. Can't you tell??? :) Riding the "bench" on the merry-go-round. That is the only thing he would ride this summer and fall.

Trip to Bear Lake -August 2009

Wyatt watching his dad compete in the Bear Lake Triathlon. Of course, Wyatt was his biggest fan!!
Cute little boy enjoying his first swim in Bear Lake. Notice the haircut! I took him to get his first trim (aside from Grandma trimming it here and there) and the stylist shaved him. It turned out too short and grew him up! Waiting for it to grow back out before we do 2 yr old portraits.

Wyatt's furry playmate Tess. The yellow thing is Wyatt's rubber ball that Tess punctured with her teeth. Neither one of them noticed the ball was flat. Tess enjoyed the swim as much or more than Wyatt.

Getting used to the idea of cold water (actually freezing water if you know Bear Lake) splashing on him.

Cuteness!!! In his favorite yellow crocs!!

Wyatt 2nd Birthday!!

Wyatt on August 15th with Grandma Thornton and Grandpa Gleed. Not sure if he likes all the attention.
Waiting to open presents. Also maintaining his "safe" space from all the people at his house.

Wyatt's 2nd birthday cake. Made by mom. At this age....he was a huge fan of cars and trucks. Of course, he wouldn't eat it. He's a very fussy eater and cake is not on his menu....but M & Ms are which is why there a few thrown in the middle.

Mom trying to get him to blow out his candle and maybe have a piece of cake?? No. But his cousin Jakie will definitely help out. Jake is 4 in this picture.

Wyatt's love of automobiles

Wyatt definitely has an affinity for anything with an engine and wheels. Especially if it is a red truck....which come to think of it, everything is a red truck. He asks to see the red truck (Matt's truck is red) and then asks for the keys as well. I guess to prepare us for the road ahead??!! Here he is behind the wheel of my car!

Kindermusik

We have done Kindermusik for over a year now. Wyatt loves it. It has taught him to love music and to socialize and to sing and to put his toys away. He looks forward to it every week. He especially loves when Miss Paulette pulls out the musical instruments. Drums are a favorite. He calls them "boom booms". He tells us that he wants to play with Miss Paulette's boom booms. Wow these boys start young!! In the bottom picture, he is playing with the scarves. He loved the scarves...especially the red ones. The next picture up shows him with a box of baby bells. Then we have Wyatt and some of the other kids in the class (the twin girls belong to a friend of mine who did the class with us). There is a picture of Wyatt enjoying a buffalo drum. And lastly a picture with Miss Paulette who is apparently invading his personal space right now. He really did like her. We are taking the summer off and will return in the fall. Wyatt seems to miss it.

One happy little boy!

This is one happy little boy that daddy just got back from a business trip. He misses his dad so much when he is gone!

Easter 2009

In Suncrest fashion, Easter was a cold one this year. We had our neighborhood Easter egg hunt the day before. Wyatt wasn't such a fan of the Easter Bunny.....come to think of it - who is???? He arrived in style in his "red car" as he calls it. If you wonder about the fine photography....you'll have to pardon the tiny little finger prints on my camera lens. We also got Wyatt his own chair. He was thrilled!
