Wyatt's love of automobiles

Wyatt definitely has an affinity for anything with an engine and wheels. Especially if it is a red truck....which come to think of it, everything is a red truck. He asks to see the red truck (Matt's truck is red) and then asks for the keys as well. I guess to prepare us for the road ahead??!! Here he is behind the wheel of my car!

Kindermusik

We have done Kindermusik for over a year now. Wyatt loves it. It has taught him to love music and to socialize and to sing and to put his toys away. He looks forward to it every week. He especially loves when Miss Paulette pulls out the musical instruments. Drums are a favorite. He calls them "boom booms". He tells us that he wants to play with Miss Paulette's boom booms. Wow these boys start young!! In the bottom picture, he is playing with the scarves. He loved the scarves...especially the red ones. The next picture up shows him with a box of baby bells. Then we have Wyatt and some of the other kids in the class (the twin girls belong to a friend of mine who did the class with us). There is a picture of Wyatt enjoying a buffalo drum. And lastly a picture with Miss Paulette who is apparently invading his personal space right now. He really did like her. We are taking the summer off and will return in the fall. Wyatt seems to miss it.

One happy little boy!

This is one happy little boy that daddy just got back from a business trip. He misses his dad so much when he is gone!

Easter 2009

In Suncrest fashion, Easter was a cold one this year. We had our neighborhood Easter egg hunt the day before. Wyatt wasn't such a fan of the Easter Bunny.....come to think of it - who is???? He arrived in style in his "red car" as he calls it. If you wonder about the fine photography....you'll have to pardon the tiny little finger prints on my camera lens. We also got Wyatt his own chair. He was thrilled!

This is one silly little boy!

His personality shines through!

Helping in the kitchen

Wyatt loves to help me when I'm preparing food. It is so fun to "stir". I love it. He smells things and tastes things....even onions and learns the word and never forgets it!

"Walking in his dad's shoes"

So I have this sneaky suspicion that Wyatt will grow into these one day!!

"Mom...I can't get up"

Perhaps I've gone overboard a little on trying to keep Wyatt warm on one of our trips out to play in the snow. Poor guy can't even stand up with all the layers on. Our dog, Tess, is never far from Wyatt's side.

Hangin in da 'hood!

So sorry about the delay in blogging. We have been enjoying Facebook and have been posting there as well. But I'll get us caught up on here. Wyatt has had a good winter as he is officially a great walker and has gained this new found independance. He has an absolutely amazing vocabulary and is almost always able to communicate to us what he needs, wants or is feeling. I love this age. This is my favorite stage so far. He is now 20 months.

Our first family photograph!

We finally had a family picture done. We did this in December for Christmas. Wyatt is 16 months here. The photographer was using a squeaky toy to make him smile and he took it. She kept trying to get it back but I told her to just leave it.

The littlest blogger!

Wyatt is fascinated with our computers. Here is his beautiful little face checking out something online.

This is our happy little monkey!

This is Wyatt at 17 months. You will all be happy to know that he is FINALLY walking. The kid talks up a storm but has been taking his own sweet time walking. Mom is just glad, as he is getting heavy to lug around all the time.

Wyatt and mama!!

I've so enjoyed Wyatt and his bond with me. He goes around the house looking for me calling "Ma Ma" in the sweetest voice. He is always aware if I'm not around. Here we are on New Years Day 2009.

Our son in the fridge......

Wyatt has been fascinated with the fridge for a while but now that he has become more mobile...he is taking his fascination to new lengths!!!

Wyatt's 2nd Christmas - 2008

We went to Bearlake for Christmas this year and spent time with Grandpa and Grandma Gleed. Wyatt is in a phase of clinging to mama so it was hard for my parents as they wanted to hold him so bad. What a kid. He did enjoy his presents though and Grandma and Grandpa spoiled him (as well as mom and dad). Thanks to everyone for a wonderful Christmas!!

The Thornton Cousins

In this picture, we have Wyatt and his cousins on Matt's side of the family. He has 4 older cousins that are in high school and college and beyond. But Matt's parent's have gotten a new round of grand kids. We had this picture done this fall for a Christmas present for the grandparents. Here we have (from left to right): Josie, Jakie, Wyatt, Logan and Kent.
